THIS is the first issues o,f a new journal The Annals of the ICRP. This and forthcoming
issues of the Annals will contain all future publications of the International Commission
on Radiological Protection, starting with Publication Number 24. In this way individuals
and institutions who take out subscriptions to the Annals will be sure to obtain all the
Commis­sion's reports. However, those who still wish to obtain individual copies of
ICRP publica­tions can continue to do so because each report will be available
separately, as in the past, and will be available for sale in the ordinary way. The
Commission will maintain the system of brown and blue covers. Reports appearing as
recommendations of the Commission are bound in brown covers, and reports prepared as
background material, and intended as a basis for discussion, are published in blue covers.
