Office of Atoms For Peace
The Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), formely known as the Office of Atomic Energy for Peace (OAEP) was established on April 25th, 1961 and the Prime Minister's Office Organization Act of 1961. OAP holds a departement status under the Minitry of Science and Technology (MOST) with the mission of providing supports for policy formulation, guideline issuance, and strategy development to ensure the peaceful witizations of nuclear energy. OAP is responsible for regulating, controlling, and managing the utilizations of nuclear energy in order to ensure the utmost safety and welfare of both operators and the public. (AR)
