The Internet Reactor Laboratory (IRL) is a learning tool on reactor physics laboratory using internet which is usually used in distance learning. After the development of the IRL system was successfully carried out, both in terms of hardware and software, it is necessary to develop a practicum protocol guide. The practicum protocol is very important to be used as teaching material in IRL learning activities. The development of this protocol is carried out by implementing an experiment guide that already exists on a regular experiment to be applied on IRL through the website. At present 3 practical protocols have been developed. The three protocols of IRL experiments namely reactor operation, power calibration and temperature reactivity coefficient of the fuel. In the operation experiment, the students can find out all the parameter data needed in reactor operation, both at the checklist start up, at the power level and at shutdown. The power calibration experiment is looking for actual power generated in the reactor core comparing to the indicated power meter. By using IRL, temperature data can be retrieved through data from a process computer that has been uploaded to the server. Thus, through the IRL web, the data can be processed and can be used to calculate the thermal power in the Kartini reactor. Once calculated, the measurement results are compared to the power displayed on the computer control. If the value is less or more than the specified limit, the position of the FC and CIC sensors needs to be adjusted so that the power displayed on the control computer is the same as the actual thermal power. The experiment of temperature coefficient of the fuel, aims to determine the magnitude of the change in reactivity caused by each degree of change in reactor fuel temperature. With this laboratory exercises, the students can prove that the Kartini reactor has inherent safety characteristics, where the power will drop when the reactor loses its cooling system. With the development the three of IRL practicum protocols, the teaching process via IRL is ready to be carried out. All of these protocols has been deloveloped successfully. They have been tested and the results gave satisfactory. The IRL Kartini website can be accessed through http://irlkartini.batan.go.id.
