Proceedings 10th Indonesian Geotechnical Conference and 19th Annual Scientific Meeting " Geotechhnical Role in Mega Structure Construction", 24-25 November 2015
This proceedings document comprises the full compilation of papers presented at the 10th Indonesian Geotechnical Conference (KOGEI-X) and 19th Annual Scientific Meeting (PIT XIX) of the Indonesian Society for Geotechnical Engineering (ISGE/HATTI), held in Jakarta on November 24-25, 2015. The conference theme, "Geotechnical Role in Mega Structure Construction," was strategically chosen to address Indonesia's emerging large-scale infrastructure development era, including Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) systems, deep tunnels, sea walls for flood mitigation, ports, airports, railways, and toll roads.
The proceedings feature contributions from 6 keynote speakers and 8 invited lecturers, both domestic and international experts, alongside 52 technical papers organized into thematic sessions. Key presentations address seismic design criteria for embankment dams in highly seismic areas, geotechnical analysis of high-rise buildings in Jakarta, ground improvement techniques including compaction methods for land reclamation, bored pile foundation systems, and deep excavation challenges in urban environments. International expertise is represented through contributions from Austria, Europe, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
Technical sessions cover a broad spectrum of geotechnical engineering topics including: foundation design and load testing (pile raft, spun piles, screw piles), ground improvement methods (vacuum consolidation, prefabricated vertical drains, surcharge preloading), slope stability analysis, seismic hazard assessment and liquefaction potential evaluation, soil stabilization using cement, lime, and other additives, numerical modeling applications (3D finite element analysis), geotechnical site characterization using CPTu and geoelectric methods, retaining wall systems, and case studies of infrastructure projects including the Tanjung Priok Port, Jatigede Reservoir, and various reclamation projects.
The conference also served as a quadrennial event for the election of the HATTI President for the 2015-2019 period. The proceedings highlight HATTI's ongoing initiatives including the development of Geotechnical Building Manuals and Indonesian National Standards (SNI) for geotechnical engineering. This collection serves as a comprehensive reference documenting the state of geotechnical engineering practice in Indonesia, addressing both theoretical advancements and practical applications essential for the successful execution of mega-structure projects in challenging soil conditions (Tim Perpustakaan).
