The first Nulcear Safety Review, covering the years 1980-1082, was submitted to the IAEA Board of Governors for consideration at its June 1982 session. Conceived after the Three Mile Island accident as a means of reporting on worldwide efforts to strengthen nuclear safety, this annual review has since varied in format and content. (Jml)
